They’re designed for creatives, strategists, educators, agencies, communicators, and changemakers of all kinds.
How to use the cards
There’s no one right way to use PERSPECTIVAS – and that’s the point. These decks are designed to be flexible, intuitive, and collaborative tools for teams and individuals.
- Use PERSPECTIVAS: Content to create or analize communications that reflect the diversity of people’s identities, experiences, and voices. This deck supports inclusive thinking across the entire creative process, from insight and ideation to production and evaluation.
- Use PERSPECTIVAS: Ways of Working to rethink how your team collaborates. This deck helps build inclusive dynamics, strengthen empathy, and support equity in decision-making, meetings, strategy, and day-to-day practices.
Together or separately, the cards are a hands-on way to spark dialogue, challenge assumptions, and guide more inclusive processes.
Activities and dynamics
Use the cards in ways that fit your flow – solo or in a group, online or in-person. Here are some great ways to begin:
Everyday sparks: Casual prompts for teams or solo reflection.
Structured sessions: For retros, workshops, and deeper creative alignment.
Ideas for everyday sparks
Seamlessly embed the cards into your work to create and collaborate on the go:
- Spread the cards out on a table. Explore the concepts, look up any terms that are new to you, and reflect on how they show up in your work.
- Draw one card each to introduce yourselves in a group. Share an insight, memory, or personal story related to the concept.
- Use the cards to brainstorm ideas for content, campaigns or workflows. Each card can spark fresh thinking or serve as a creative filter.
- Draw random cards and answer the questions out loud or in writing. Let them guide a moment of reflection or collective exploration.
- Prioritize what’s relevant. Look through the full deck and set aside the cards that resonate most. From there, choose three to focus your discussion.
- Lay out all the cards on a table or wall. Group them by theme, identify gaps, and write down thoughts or ideas that emerge during the session.
For structured use
These formats are great for workshops, retrospectives, planning meetings, or education:
- Diagnosis: Analyze the current state of your project, team, or content. Spot risks, unclear areas, or recurring patterns.
- Alignment: Use the cards to align on shared values, principles, or direction, and make sure everyone’s voice is heard.
- Brainstorming: Treat each card as a prompt or lens to unlock new solutions, uncover blind spots, or test assumptions.
- Action Planning: Turn insights into action. Decide what to improve, who’s responsible, and what success will look like.
These cards aren’t about having the “right” answers, they’re about asking better questions, together. Whether you’re kicking off a project or evolving your team culture, PERSPECTIVAS helps you build with intention and care.
Who are these cards for?
- Creative teams, agencies, and brand strategists
- DEI professionals and inclusive design facilitators
- Educators, students, and researchers
- Journalists, consultants, activists, and public institutions
- Anyone looking to create with intention and reflection
Whether you’re refining a message or rethinking how your team works, these cards offer a structured-yet-fluid way to grow.
Tips for inclusive collaboration
If you’re using the cards in a group setting, try setting a few ground rules to create safety and openness:
- Practice active listening
- Speak from your own experience
- Share the space and avoid interruptions
- Embrace that we all carry bias and are learning
- Reflect, don’t rush to “solutions”
Respect confidentiality and care for each other
Why this matters
PERSPECTIVAS was co-created by a diverse community of communicators, designers, and gender equity experts. It exists because inclusive work starts with inclusive questions. These cards invite you to slow down, reflect, and do better, with empathy, creativity, and shared responsibility.
“It’s an invitation to question, and to be questioned.”
